Digging a Hole for Mi Gitana's Hurricane Home

A hole is dug in the ground at Vuda Point Marina custom fit to the keel size of each boat; then the boat is lifted out of the water with a travel-lift (crane), moved over to the hole, and "dropped" (not literally) into the hole until the keel hits the bottom.  Then large tires are placed all around the hull for more stability and protection.  Boats are left in these holes for the cyclone (hurricane) season as they are considered safer than to leave the boat IN the water should a 100-150 mile/hour cyclone hit the marina.  Fiji IS in the main cyclone belt of the South Pacific.
